01/10/22 – Memorialized at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens
For a very long time- this is what seeing my Dad looked like to me. I would show up to his Studio, watch him give everything he had to not only show others how to defend themselves, but empower them. He put all his love & passion into this art- and met a family of people who shared it.
Every year- he would put on a Shotokan Karate demonstration at the botanical gardens for the Japanese Festival. I would always look forward to this- as it made me proud and I could see how much love he had for the art & people included in it.
We have finally raised enough to get him a brick with his name at the Botanical Gardens. I want to thank everyone who helped make this possible. It’s been almost 7 years now- and I am so happy to know he will forever be apart of something he was so passionate about. He deserved something like this.
